3Gtms, a Shelton, Connecticut-based provider of Tier 1 transportation management software solutions, received a strategic investment from Sumeru Equity Partners.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As part of the investment, majority shareholder SEP will add SEP Managing Directors Paul Mercadante and Sanjeet Mitra and Mark Haller to 3Gtms’ Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and product innovation.
Led by Mitch Weseley, CEO and founder, 3Gtms provides a multimodal TMS platform that manages the full order-to-cash process in real time and within a single system for logistics service providers, shippers and brokers.
Whether users move $5 million or $5 billion in freight, the 3G-TM solution manages the full transportation lifecycle, including transportation planning and optimization, execution and settlement, empowering customers to make improved shipping decisions while meeting their service goals.
