4505 Meats, Inc., a San Francisco, California-based producer of antibiotic- and hormone-free pork rinds, received an investment from Encore Consumer Capital.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The investment will help the brand continue to scale the business by providing capital to support both its innovation pipeline and demand for the product at retail partners.
Founded in 2009 by chef and butcher Ryan Farr and led by recently appointed President Anish Sheth, 4505 Meats is a producer of artisanal pork rinds produced with a commitment to sustainability and whole animal utilization. Made with cuts of humanely sourced pork with no added antibiotics or hormones, each meaty snack is kettle-cooked in lard, high in protein, gluten-free, and paleo and keto certified. Its pork rinds are placed in national retailers like Whole Foods Market, Safeway and Costco.
