Armory Square Ventures, a Syracuse, NY-based institutional venture capital firm, is renewing its focus on the Upstate New York region and similar geographies in the Northeast.
After receiving support from existing and new investors, including notable universities, foundations and institutions, Armory will soon deploy up to $2m per investment to 15-20 early-stage companies.
It focuses on:
– automotive tech,
– agriculture,
– manufacturing,
– health IT industries, and
– other high-growth sectors.
Founded in 2014 by Somak Chattopadhyay, founder and managing partner, Armory Square Ventures is a seed and early-stage venture capital firm which seeks to invest in software and technology-enabled services companies in emerging entrepreneurial ecosystems often overlooked by other investors.
The firm has offices in Syracuse and New York City, and has invested in eight portfolio companies across New York State:
