Lavu, an Albuquerque, NM-based provider of mobile point-of-sale and payments systems, acquired MenuDrive, a Shippensburg, PA-based branded online and mobile ordering platform for restaurants.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition will allow Lavu to provide online ordering alongside their comprehensive restaurant management platform. The combined technology platform offers a branded online ordering presence, customized loyalty programs, and marketing automation, as well as enhanced analytics, including detailed customer order history, product reports, sales trends, and consumer buying habits.
Led by Saleem S. Khatri, Chief Executive Officer, Lavu provides a mobile point-of-sale system for restaurants and bars. Used in food service establishments in more than 90 countries, it offers flexible payment-processing solutions, an intuitive interface, and a proprietary business management suite.
Led by co-founder Adrian Fang, MenuDrive provides restaurants with a custom branded online and mobile ordering system, to add e-commerce to their offerings, so that customers can order online or place orders by smartphone for in-store pickup or home or office delivery.
The company serves restaurants and food establishments throughout the United States & Canada.
