Moi Corporation, the Tokyo, Japan-based provider of TwitCasting, a live streaming communication platform, closed a $6m Series A funding round.
Backers included GB-VI Growth Fund Investment Limited Partnership, KDDI Open Innovation Fund and SBI AI & Blockchain Fund.
The company, which brought total funding to $12m to date, intends to use the funds to continue to:
– develop TwitCasting,
– acclerate marketing efforts to further expand the user base, and
– develop new services and core technologies for live streaming communication.
TwitCasting is a live streaming communication platform which is designed for users to develop and meet a “comfortable” online community with real-time, open communication through the service. Streamers can broadcast and record without worrying about network quality issues and focus on building a community. Viewers can communicate and share with streamers through comments, send gifts and join a broadcast as “Collaborative Streaming.”
There are over 24 million registered users on the platform.
