Stryve Biltong Raises $16.5M in Series B Funding

stryveStryve Biltong, a Plano, Texas-based provider of biltong snacks, raised $16.5M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Meaningful Partners, Pendyne Capital and Murano Group.

The company intends to use the funds to:
– increase marketing investment to drive education, awareness and trial and
– drive continued investment in talent and operations.

Founded by former NFL first round draft pick Gabe Carimi and sports nutrition titans Ted Casey (Founder of Dymatize) and Joe Oblas (Founder of ProSupps), Stryve Biltong is a gourmet beef biltong company providing a snack that has 0g of sugar and high levels of protein.

In addition to Series B funding, Jaxie Alt, 18-year CPG veteran from Dr Pepper Snapple Group, joined as CMO, while Peter Rahal, founder of RX bar, has joined the Board of Directors.
