Arris Composites, a Berkeley, Calif.-based provider of next-gen composites for mass market applications, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by New Enterprise Associates.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations and development efforts.
Founded by manufacturing innovation veterans, Ethan Escowitz, Riley Reese, and Erick Davidson, founder and CEO, Arris Composites is advancing next-gen composites for mass market applications. The company has spent the past two years in stealth developing continuous carbon fiber composites, which can be combined with metals, plastics, wires, and other materials for aerospace, automotive, and consumer products.
