JetStream Software Inc., a San Jose, CA-based cloud data protection platform provider, raised $7.7m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Digital Alpha Advisors, LLC, with participation from Illuminate Ventures and others. In conjunction with the funding, Digital Alpha Principal Aurin Bhattacharjee will join the board of directors of JetStream Software.
The company intends to use the funds for continued product development, innovative go-to-market strategies, and increased engagement with key strategic partners.
Led by Tom Critser, CEO, JetStream Software provides a platform that enables managed service providers (MSPs) and cloud service providers (CSPs) to deliver disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and continuous data protection to enterprise customers, government agencies, and research and educational organizations.
The company’s flagship product is JetStream DR, a solution designed specifically for cloud-based disaster recovery and business continuity.
JetStream Software is optimally suited to complement VMware cloud infrastructures including VMware Cloud Provider Partners (VCPPs) and VMware Cloud on AWS.
The company also has a wholly owned subsidiary in Bangalore, India.
