MainStreaming, a Milan, Italy-based technology provider enabling broadcasters, media and enterprise companies to deliver the best online streaming experience globally, secured $6m in funding.
This round, which brought total raised to date to over $10m, was led by Indaco Venture Partners SGR, with participation from Sony Innovation Fund and existing investor United Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance its position in its two core markets, broadcast and online gaming, and expand in international markets.
Led by Antonio Corrado, CEO, MainStreaming has developed a proprietary technology platform that enables broadcasters to stream live and on-demand and compete with major providers, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. The solution has already been deployed with leading broadcasters, including Sky Italia, which uses the service to stream premium live, linear and on-demand content, enabling it to offer consumers access to content over broadband connections.
