Podimetrics Raises $13.4M in Series B Funding

podi-logoPodimetrics, a Somerville, Mass.-based care management company providing a solution to prevent diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), closed a $13.4m Series B funding round.

Backers included Rock Health, Norwich Ventures, and Scientific Health Development.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its presence within the Veterans Affairs (VA) health care system and commercial payers nationwide.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Dr. Jon Bloom, Podimetrics provides a solution to help prevent diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). On behalf of payers and at-risk providers, the company sends high-risk patients an FDA-cleared, cellular-connected SmartMat.
After placing their feet on the mat for just 20 seconds a day, patients’ data are automatically sent to a care management team that triages any concerning findings.
