Unica, a Hoevelaken, the Netherlands-based all-around technical service provider, is to acquire Brainpact, a Venray, the Netherlands-based company specialized in industrial automation software.
The purchase price of the deal, whose completion is subject to regulatory approval, has not been disclosed. Unica expanded its core competencies in the industrial automation field with its acquisition of Pro-Fa Automation in 2017. The addition of Brainpact will further bolster the added value the company can offer its industrial customers.
Founded in 1995, Brainpact aims to enhance productivity through automation, innovation and process optimization. It translates automation technology control, optimization, cost reduction and efficiency improvement issues into concrete tailor-made automation solutions.
Following Ton Peeters, together with his partner Anja Linskens, will continue to play a prominent role at Brainpact.
Led by John Quist, CEO, Unica is an all-around technical service provider in the Netherlands. Examples include solutions in the fields of systems technology, energy, IT, Internet of Things (IoT) and smart buildings that contribute to functional safe living and working environments.
It has an effective network of nine business clusters and over 2,500 employees.
