Urban Jungle, a London, UK-based rental insurance startup, raised £2.5m in seed funding.

Backers included angel investors Rob Devey, ex CEO of Prudential UK, and Simon Rogerson, CEO of Octopus Group.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.

Led by CEO Jimmy Williams, Urban Jungle provides UK renters who have historically been underserved by the industry with a pay-as-you-go policy, a commitment to transparent pricing and modern terms.
Launched in 2016, the company has scaled and now serves more than 15,000 customers.

Alongside the funding round, Urban Jungle also announced a number of new senior hires, including:
– new Director of Strategy & Operations, Helen Hodges, and
– Lauren McAloon as Head of Marketing.
