Kiwi.com, a Brno, Czech Republic — based online travel booking platform, received an investment from growth equity firm General Atlantic.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand globally.
Co-founded in 2012 by Oliver Dlouhý and Jozef Képesi, Kiwi.com is an online travel booking platform which offers expansive flight options to value-conscious consumers through its proprietary technology and algorithms.
The company’s technology matches passengers to multiple carriers and flights on single itineraries, and partners with airlines, online travel agencies, and metasearch engines to sell more tickets across the globe.
Today, Kiwi.com employs over 2,400 people worldwide.
In 2018, the company launched of NOMAD, a platform to combine cheap flights, and Tequila, a B2B platform for partners of all sizes.
