Ockam, a San Francisco, CA-based severless platform for IoT developers, raised $3.2m in seed funding.
Backers included:
– Core Ventures,
– Future Ventures,
– Okta, and
– SGH Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and continue to develop its solution.
Led by CEO Matthew Gregory and CTO Mrinal Wadhwa, Ockam is advancing a severless platform for secure IoT development, making it simple to interconnect secure hardware with software services to facilitate exchange of information within connected systems.
These systems will be secure, and serve intuitive, user centric experiences that operate autonomously and respect user privacy.
The company’s products aim to make it simple for developers to:
– Build scalable connected systems and adopt security best practices
– Securely manage identities, cryptographic keys, and credentials for entities (devices, people, assets, services, etc)
– Enable secure connectivity and messaging to authenticate, establish mutual trust, and exchange information trustfully between entities and applications
