PlayWorks, a London, UK-based gaming creator, closed an initial £2m funding round.
The round was led by Vala Capital.
The investment will allow the company to continue to develop its brands and licensed IP.
Led by Jonathan Boltax, Chief Executive Officer, PlayWorks makes post-app-store mobile games across social networks and messaging apps. Its games can be played instantly on Facebook Messenger, Connected TV devices and more.
The company has partnerships in place with Facebook, Comcast, LG, Roku and many others, and a large catalog of live games.
