Project Management Academy, a West Lafayette, IN-based provider of training and exam preparation services for project management professionals, received an investment from Morgan Stanley Capital Partners (MSCP).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
MSCP is partnering with the current CEO, Jason Cassidy, and the rest of the management team, who will remain in place and retain an equity stake in the business.
Founded in 2009, Project Management Academy provides training for the career-critical Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. The PMP® certification is recognized as the leading certification for project managers across multiple industries, with over 700,000 registered professionals.
The company has since expanded its product suite to also offer training in related disciplines including Agile, Business Analysis, and Six Sigma and leadership.
It currently provides both in-person and online training to more than 11,000 individuals and 170 corporations across the U.S. and Canada.
