Qover, a Belgian digital insurance company, completes an €8M funding round.
The round was led by Alven with participation from Portag3 Venture and existing investor Anthemis.
The company intends to use the new funds to accelerate its commercial deployment in selected verticals, continuing to invest in digital and insurance research and development.
Co-founded in 2016 by Quentin Colmant and Jean-Charles Velge, have navigated at the crossroads of technology and insurance. Qover provides a platform to build, launch and manage tailored non-life insurance products for specific use cases in the digital space like accident and income protection for bike deliverers.
The company has built proprietary open APIs and white-label front-ends that enable both integration and an improved customer experience.
Today, Qover’s products insure nearly 50,000 individuals across eight European countries. The company has developed partnerships with digital innovators such as Deliveroo, and such partnerships continue to grow substantially as well as home, rent and landlord insurance with Axel Springer-owned Immoweb, a real estate marketplace platform in Belgium.
