Sanofi signed an agreement with Roche for the exclusive over-the-counter (OTC) rights to Tamiflu® for the prevention and treatment of influenza or flu in the US. Under the terms of the agreement, Sanofi will be responsible for leading FDA negotiations for the OTC switch and subsequent exclusive marketing, scientific engagement and distribution of Tamiflu OTC in the US. Tamiflu is currently sold in the US by Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, for prescription use (read here)
Capital on Tap is partnering with Marqeta, a global modern card issuing platform, to power payment processing for its small business credit card, used by UK enterprises. As part of this deal, all of Capital on Tap’s users will be provided with a new, Marqeta-powered card. Since its launch in 2012, Capital on Tap has competed with the offering of major banks, by offering small businesses a faster and transparent way to fund their business. BioCardia, Inc. [OTC: BCDA], a leader in the development of comprehensive solutions for cardiovascular regenerative therapies, signed an extension to a 2017 development agreement with AstraZeneca [NYSE:AZN] for BioCardia’s Helix™ biotherapeutic delivery catheter system. Under the terms of the initial pre-clinical phase of the relationship, BioCardia will receive a sizable upfront payment, a portion of which will be creditable to BioCardia biotherapeutic delivery systems, support and training (read here)
Capgemini is expanding its relationship with Microsoft through a strategic initiative aimed at helping enterprises to accelerate their adoption of cloud technologies. The new Enterprise Portfolio Modernization (EPM) initiative includes several solutions to support Capgemini’s Cloud and application development and maintenance (ADMNext) portfolio of assets and services. EPM optimizes enterprise applications and enterprise ERPs (enterprise resource planning) and reaps the benefits of cloud economics to achieve new business speed and agility.
