WellSet, a Los Angeles, CA-based technology booking platform connecting wellness seekers and peer-reviewed practitioners, secured pre-seed funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by private equity, and wellness and tech angel investors including Kelly Noonan Gores, writer, producer, director of HEAL documentary, and Broadway Angels, a female-driven Silicon Valley angel investment group.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its technology platform for a nationwide rollout slated for Fall of 2019.
Founded in 2018 by Tegan Bukowski, CEO, and Hanna Madrigan, COO, and also led by Sky Meltzer, Executive Chairman, WellSet is a technology platform for wellness seekers to discover and book peer-reviewed and credentialed practitioners.
The platform serves as a portal to find the right practitioner for a certain need or condition, discover new practices and navigate the personal journey to optimal living. WellSet has more than 3,000 listed practitioners in more than 30 different specialties such as acupuncture, massage therapy, functional medicine, craniosacral therapy, nutrition, coaches, holistic therapists and more.
