Cerberus Interactive, an Austin, Texas-based game development studio, closed $1.75m funding round.
The round was co-led by Mobilityware, co-founder and CEO of Reddit Steve Huffman and CBO of TikTok, Blake Chandlee.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its flagship title “Atlas Empires.”
Co-founded by Sami Khan (strategic growth leader for Acorns and Honey) and Beau Button (co-founder and CTO, and former COO and partner of an INC5000 company) Cerberus Interactive uses a marketing-first approach to reduce risk within the game development process. By utilizing proven digital marketing techniques and focusing on community engagement during the development process, the studio is proving demand for its titles before investing into research and development.
The first title, “Atlas Empires,” is now available in select markets and will launch globally in November 2019.
