David Tan will join global alternative asset firm TPG as Managing Director.
Tan will be based in Singapore covering Southeast Asia and will work closely with Ganen Sarvananthan, Co-Managing Partner and Dominic Picone, Partner of TPG Capital Asia – the firm’s Asia-focused private equity platform.
He comes to TPG from KKR, where he served as a Director on the firm’s private equity team and worked at for over a decade in their Menlo Park, Hong Kong and Singapore offices.
Prior to joining KKR, Tan was with UBS Investment Bank in New York.
He holds a B.A. from the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
