Herbivore Raises $15M In Series A Funding

HerbivoreHerbivore Botanicals, a Seattle, WA-based skincare brand, raised $15M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Silas Capital, with participation from S1 Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its manufacturing capabilities and increase brand awareness through digital and in-store marketing.

Founded in 2011 by Alex Kummerow and Julia Wills out of their Seattle kitchen, Herbivore offers an assortment of non-toxic, therapeutic products crafted with an iconic minimalist aesthetic. Its line of 35+ SKUs ranges from skincare to bath & body, formulated with pure, active, highly concentrated vitamins, minerals and botanicals.
The company currently sells through more than 500 doors globally, including prominent retailers such as Nordstrom, Credo, Space NK, Carbon Beauty, Follain and Sephora — where it launched in 2015.
