PlaceIQ Receives Strategic Investment from Experian

PlaceIQ LogoPlaceIQ, a NYC-based company building a new model of consumer behavior with location data, received an investment from and signed a strategic partnership with global information services company Experian.

The amount of the financing was not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to scale data operations and support future innovation.

Led by Duncan McCall, CEO, PlaceIQ is a data and technology provider that powers business and marketing decisions with location data, analytics, and insights. Its compiled data product, LandMark, leverages foot traffic patterns to provide a real-world view of the customer journey and connect with multiple marketing touchpoints.
The company is headquartered in New York City and has offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Chicago, and Detroit.

Under the deal, LandMark will be incorporated into Experian’s suite of data activation and measurement products and services. The combined capabilities allow brands and agencies to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and create relevant messages that resonate with customers.
