SpectroPlast, a Zurich, Switzerland-based Silicone 3D printing company, raised CHF1.5m in seed financing.
AM Ventures made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to manufacture its customized, 3D-printed silicone products on an industrial scale.
Co-founded in 2018 by Manuel Schaffner, CEO, Petar Stefanov, CTO, and Andrè R. Studart as a spin-off of the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Spectroplast manufactures customized silicone products for the healthcare sector including customized hearing aids and ear protection, orthopedic shoe insoles, ergonomic cushions, snoring remedies and dental prosthesis, and applications in medical devices, soft robotics, masks and models, silicone moulds, animatronics and toys for children and adults, among others.
