Beat81, a Berlin, Germany-based fitness technology company, raised €6.4m in Series A funding.
The round was led by EQT Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue building the technology, team, and international expansion.
Founded in 2017 by professional badminton player and former national champion Tim Dettmann, Beat81 is a fitness technology company that combines high-intensity group training, motivational coaching, and heart rate technology. The heart rate sensor worn during each workout shows participants exactly how their heart is responding to their chosen activity in real-time.
Using its technology, coaches can organize and administer training sessions, schedules, and payments while, through data and insights, they can adapt and improve their classes.
The company currently has training sessions available in four cities across Germany — Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne.
