Cartica AI, a Tel Aviv, Israel–based autonomous AI mobility startup, closed a Series B funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Continental, Toyota AI Ventures, BMW i Ventures, and OurCrowd.
The company intends to use the funds to launch its Autonomous AI platform and scale its global operations with a focus on increasing the safety of cars and lowering casualties on the global motorways.
Led by Co-founder & CEO Igal Raichelgauz, Cartica AI provides an automotive visual intelligence platform built on the foundation of mature self-learning technology backed by more than 200 patents. Utilizing signature-based representation structures coupled with unsupervised learning methodologies, the company’s platform garners a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the vehicle’s environment, to enhance applications including advanced driver assistance systems, mobility (L4/L5 autonomy), localization, and more.
