Waud Capital Partners, a Chicago, IL-based growth-oriented middle market private equity firm, appointed Matthew Albers as Vice President – Capital Markets.
In the new role, Mr. Albers will focus on originating debt financings for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies. He will also manage and grow the Firm’s relationships with its financing partners.
Mr. Albers brings to Waud nearly a decade of experience with debt capital financings to public and private companies across numerous industries. Most recently, he served as a Vice President in the capital markets group at Antares Capital, where Mr. Albers was responsible for structuring, underwriting, and syndicating debt financings for private equity backed companies. Previously, he held leveraged finance roles with BMO Capital Markets and Huntington National Bank.
Mr. Albers received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an M.S. in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business, and a B.B.A. in Finance from the Seidman School of Business at Grand Valley State University.
