Avia, a Chicago, IL-based digital health insights, strategic guidance, and consulting services provider, raised $22m in funding.
The round was led by First Trust Capital Partners, with participation from Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, Ziegler, and:

In conjunction with the funding, Jon Phillips, Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at First Trust Capital Partners, LLC, and Darren Dworkin, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Information Services and Chief Information Officer at Cedars-Sinai, joined Avia’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to extend its services to pediatric hospitals; a broader group of health systems; and health insurers, starting with provider-sponsored plans.
Led by Eric Langshur, Co-founder and CEO, Avia provides digital health insights, strategic guidance, and consulting services with digital solutions that deliver strategic focus, market intelligence, and resources to accelerate digital transformation.
The above twelve health systems have invested in the company and count themselves among the 50+ health systems that partner with it to navigate the threats and opportunities presented by the digitization of healthcare.
