EMnify, a Berlin and Würzburg, Germany-based provider of an Internet of Things cloud technology platform, raised €8m in Series A funding.
Existing backers reinvested in the company.
The company, which has now raised a total of €20m since 2015, intends to use the funds for international sales and marketing expansion activities as part of the global roll out of its cloud native cellular connectivity integration with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Compute Engine, among others.
Founded in 2014 by Frank Stöcker, Martin Giess and Alexander Schebler, EMnify is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) connectivity management service that provides mobile network operators, enterprises, and developers globally with technology connecting ‘things’.
The company has developed and operates a mobile core network infrastructure as a native cloud service. This enables connectivity in a secure, reliable and scalable way.
EMnify is available in more than 180 countries worldwide and used by more than 1,000 customers to create innovative and connected business models and IoT applications.
Today, the company employs 85 people with more than 25 nationalities at its offices in Würzburg and Berlin.
