KidPass, a New York based online marketplace for booking kids activities, acquired Mommy Nearest, a media company for millennial parents.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, KidPass will expand its reach to become an end-to-end platform that includes parenting advice and curated articles around local discovery, in addition to enabling parents to instantly find and book kids activities.
As part of the transaction, the entire Mommy Nearest team, including CEO Joshua Milstein, has joined the company, with Milstein also joining the Board of Directors.
Launched in 2013, Mommy Nearest is a tech-enabled media company for millennial parents and a widely-used geo-based app and website for discovering family-friendly places, local travel guides, and relatable parenting content.
Led by Solomon Liou, Co-Founder and CEO, KidPass is an online marketplace for parents to discover and book kids activities. Launched in 2016, the company has over 400,000 activities booked across 4,000 activity providers and 20 categories including music, arts, sports, dance, playspaces, and weekend experiences.
