U-Nest, a North Hollywood-based mobile app for families to save for college and other educational expenses, closed a $2m seed funding round.
Backers included The Artemis Fund and Draper Dragon, Unlock Ventures, Vested Ventures, Band of Angels, and other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to scale outreach across the country and collaborate extensively with partner organizations.
Led by Ksenia Yudina, CEO and founder, U-Nest provides a mobile fintech app for parents to save and grow the money needed to fund their children’s education via tax-advantaged 529 college savings plan. Rather than spending hours researching and completing application forms, parents can start using a plan quickly.
U-Nest is a fully accredited and registered financial advisor with SEC and FINRA.
