Cyclopure, Inc., an Encinitas, CA-based developer of water purification technologies, raised over $4+ m in Series B funding.
The round, which, together with financing from its earlier Series A and SBIR grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, brought Cyclopure’s total capital raised to over $10m, was led by Dr. Irwin Jacobs.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization of its eco-friendly DEXSORB® adsorbents.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Frank Cassou, Cyclopure develops filtration products, which remove microtoxins now present in tap water, including Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), like PFOA and PFOS.
