Eight Sleep, a NYC-based sleep fitness company, closed a $40m growth funding round.
The investment, which brought the company’s total equity funding to nearly $65m, was led by Founders Fund with participation from Craft Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator, 8VC, Ryan Petersen – Founder of Flexport, and Kevin Hartz – Co-Founder and Chairman of Eventbrite. In conjunction with the funding, Trae Stephen, Partner at Founders Fund, is joining the board.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to double the team, expand its retail footprint, and reinforce its investment in R&D.
Led by Matteo Franceschetti, co-founder and CEO, Eight Sleep leverages thermoregulation, data, and technology to design products to restore individuals to their peak energy levels every morning.
