TruKKer, a Dubai, UAE-based on-demand truck aggregator, raised $23m in Series A funding.
Backers included Saudi Technology Ventures, International Finance Corporation, Endeavor Catalyst Fund and Middle East Venture Partners and existing investors Riyad TAQNIA Fund, Oman Technology Fund, Iliad Partners, and Shorooq Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand the team, enhance customer experience and strengthen its operating infrastructure across the road freight network in the region.
Founded in 2016 by Gaurav Biswas, founder and CEO, TruKKer is an online truck aggregator which allows users to book a truck quickly with instant pricing and guaranteed availability. The company offers rates for a single trip, long-term hire or for moving individual items. Operations support Last-Mile Delivery (all over UAE), containerized movements from ports, and customs clearance at the GCC area borders. It is operational in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the rest of the GCC and is in the process of expanding to Egypt, Jordan and the wider Middle East region.
