Paul Ehlinger is joining venture capital firm Allos Ventures as an Associate in its Indianapolis office.
He will add depth to the Allos investment team as they continue investing in high-potential, early-stage technology companies across the Midwest.
Prior to joining Allos, Paul was the Investment Manager for the Kentucky Enterprise Fund where he evaluated and invested in tech start-ups across Kentucky. Paul also co-founded HQ1 Capital, an initiative intended to drive collaboration across venture funds and angel groups between the coasts.
“This business is all about people, which is why we are so pleased to have Paul join us as a key member of the investment team“, said Allos co-founder and Managing Director, Don Aquilano.
A biomedical engineer by training, Paul worked in R&D at Medtronic and was on the ground floor at a medical device start-up where he was awarded a patent along with others on the team for a neurovascular coil system for the treatment of brain aneurysms. Paul also created rapid prototyping software to reduce cost and increase the efficiency of new stent design.
Paul holds a master’s degree in bioengineering and biomedical engineering from the University of California, Riverside and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Missouri.
