Brideside, a Chicago, IL-based retail startup, raised a $7m series A funding.
The round was led by Beringea with participation from Sawdust Ventures and existing investors.
The company intends to use the funds to scale showroom footprint, enhance the customer-facing shopping technology and launch Brideside Bridal, a concept to enter the bridal gown business.
Launched in 2014 by CEO Nicole Staple and and Sonali Lamba, Brideside is an omnichannel destination for concierge bridal and bridesmaid shopping. It combines a core digital business at brideside.com with physical showrooms, in Chicago, New York, Boston and Charlotte. Each location offers a selection by the industry’s top designers, such as Jenny Yoo, Amsale, and Dessy and carries gowns in sample sizes 0-24.
The brand recently introduced private label collections, Brideside and Aura by Brideside.
