Inky Technology Corporation, a College Park, Md.-based next-gen anti-phishing startup, raised an additional $6m in funding.
The round was led by ClearSky Security, with participation from Gula Tech Adventures. In conjunction with the funding, Ron Gula, Founder of Gula Tech Adventures, will join Inky’s Board of Advisors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its market reach and further extend its lead in anti-phishing technology.
Led by Dave Baggett, CEO, Inky provides an anti-phishing solution, INKY Phish Fence, which is equipped with anomaly detection algorithms and computer vision technology to identify and block brand forgery emails, spear phishing attempts and extortion attacks, while also alerting employees with warning banners to unusual or suspicious emails, giving users specific guidance on potentially problematic messages.
Baggett also co-founded ITA Software, an airfare search company, which was purchased by Google in 2011 for $730M.
