nutriatiNutriati, a Richmond, IL-based ingredient technology company, raised $12.7m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Manna Tree Partners with participation from Open Prairie, through its Open Prairie Rural Opportunities Fund.

The company intends to use the funds for R&D, increase production and customer addition.

Led by Michael Todd, CEO, Nutriati is an ingredient technology company focused on the research, development and commercialization of plant-based ingredients, including protein, flour and oil. The company’s ingredients are low in saturated fat, cholesterol free and work as heart-healthy meat substitutes. They replace eggs, offer oil and water binding capabilities and stabilize liquid suspensions.
Ingredient applications include: plant-based meats, non-dairy (cheese, yogurt, ice cream, milk), tortillas, pretzels, puffs, gluten free pasta, pizza crust and bread.
