Chai Kings, a Chennai, India-based Chai Retail chain, raised 1 million USD in funding.
The Chennai Angels (TCA) made the investment along with Hyderabad Angels and TiE India Angels.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and supply chain management as well as enter into Coimbatore, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Founded in 2016 and led by Mr. Jahabar Sadique, CEO, Chai Kings is Chennai’s largest Chai Retail chain operating 40 stores. It offers a huge range of chai in exotic flavours, delivers products at customers’ places anywhere in Chennai, uses food grade use-and-throw heat retaining chai flask for safe consumption also ensuring the Chai is piping hot for at least an hour.
The company plans to expand rapidly with the target of 100 stores in 5 years.
