Fluentify, a London, UK-based online tutoring platform providing language training, acquired Canguro English, a Spanish language teaching company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition is part of Fluentify’s strategy, which spans the B2B and the consumer markets, to provide a learning experience based on the latest tools, content and trends which have seen exponential growth recently, especially podcasts.
Led by Claudio Bosco, Giacomo Moiso and Matteo Avalle, Fluentify is a consolidated language training company with offices in London, Paris, Milan, Rome and Turin as well as a commercial presence in Switzerland. The company is active in the long-distance learning sector through its innovating online tutoring platform for business English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. With over 180 mother-tongue tutors operating from all over the world, Fluentify offers its services to hundreds of companies around the world.
In November 2019, the company had launched its B2B-market dedicated Fluentify Academy, which provides 250 plus on-demand videos, all filmed on the streets of London, that add the element of entertainment to this traditionally more formal, business context.
