Legalpad, a Seattle, WA-based startup that makes work visas easy, raised $10m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Amplo with participation from Global Founders Capital, 8VC, Liquid 2 Ventures, Tekton Ventures, Gaingels, Collate Capital, and angels. Amplo’s Board Partner, Alec Ross—formerly Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State and best-selling author of The Industries of the Future—will join Legalpad’s board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and continue to connect global talent with opportunity.
Legalpad is focused on making the work-visa process easy, and they offer guaranteed approval for employers, immigrants, and lawyers. It is a 2018 Techstars company with 15 employees in Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; Spokane, WA; and Jackson, WY.
