SurvivorNet, a NYC-based cancer media company, raised $10m in Series B funding.
The round, which brought total outside funding raised to date to $15m, was led by London-based asset manager Gatemore Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand its coverage across various types of cancer.
Launched 18 months ago by CEO Steve Alperin, SurvivorNet is a media company focused on cancer information for patients. 1.5 million unique visitors per month use the site to get access to information from some of the world’s top oncologists. Dozens of the leading comprehensive cancer centers in the country have contributed to SurvivorNet, including MD Anderson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Cleveland Clinic, The Mayo Clinic, Stanford, and Cedars Sinai.
