Bimble, a British startup that makes an app for people to collect, remember and share places, raised £1.3m in seed funding.
Backers included Dimitris Panagopoulos, Rupert Rittson-Thomas and Julian Granville, among others.
The company plans to use new funds to accelerate growth focusing on building its ‘get up and go’ audience in the UK and New York, and releasing new features to the iOS app.
Co-founded by Francesa Howland and Tomi Novak, Bimble provides an app and platform that gives people a way to collect, remember and share personalized place and travel lists. Placelists can be shared, anywhere and with anyone, combining design with practical information. The startup has already built a community of 60,000 through beta testing, has been selected for the Google Digital Accelerator Programme.
