Forecast5 Analytics, Inc., a Naperville, IL-based provider of a suite of decision support software for the public sector, acquired GuideK12, a Minnesota-based firm that provides geovisual analytics tools to school districts across the country.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition of GuideK12 enables the company to optimize its geovisual offerings. The full GuideK12 staff will join the Forecast5 Analytics organization.
Led by Chuck Amos, who served as CEO since 2012, GuideK12 is a geovisual analytics software company that enables education decision makers to instantly explore and analyze school district data by adding a geographic and visual dimension to their student and community information. Based in MN, GuideK12 serves large metro, suburban and rural school districts throughout the United States.
Led by Michael English, founder and CEO/President, Forecast5 Analytics provides a suite of decision support software to more than 2,000 public sector clients in 34 states. In May 2019, the company acquired Ohio-based Public Finance Resources in a deal that added 300 Ohio public school districts to the list of Forecast5 clients, and in August 2019, Forecast5 acquired SchoolFinances.com, a provider of decision support tools for Minnesota K-12 school districts. These acquisitions follow the company’s growth equity partnership with Riverwood Capital, a private equity firm focused on high-growth technology companies, in 2018.
