Planet FWD Raises $2.7M in Seed Funding

Planet FWD, a San Francisco, CA-based company building a regenerative food platform, raised $2.7m in seed funding.

The round was led by BBG Ventures, with participation from Cleo Capital, Maveron, Kapor Capital, Incite Ventures, Precursor Ventures, Cowboy Ventures, Jane VC and F7 Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to bring the platform to market.

Led by Julia Collins, Founder and CEO, Planet FWD is building a climate-focused snack brand, sourced from regenerative ingredients to reduce carbon emissions in the food system and promote carbon-capturing farming practices. The company is also creating a regenerative food platform, connecting brands and consumers who are hungry for climate-friendly ingredients to farmers and suppliers who are using regenerative practices.
