Sounder, a NYC-based end-to-end podcast management and monetization platform built with and for creators, closed a $1.8m seed financing round.

The round was led by Ulu Ventures, with participation from Newark Venture Partners, Xoogler.co, a community of Google alumni and current Google employee investors, and individual Spotify and Google executive angel investors.

The company will use the proceeds for select key hires, marketing initiatives and further development of its patent-pending technology and new platform features.

Founded in 2019 by former Google and Spotify executives, and led by Kal Amin, CEO, Sounder is an end-to-end podcast management platform that connects creators to the tools and services they need to grow audiences and revenue. It leverages proprietary Pinpoint Audio Search technology to bring discoverability to audio content. Since launch, Sounder has already achieved widespread recognition in the podcast market, attracting thousands of shows and millions of streams in over 50 languages worldwide.
