SouSmile, a Brazilian direct-to-consumer dental company, raised $10 million in Series A funding.
Backers included Global Founders Capital, Kaszek Ventures, and Canary.
The company, which has raised $11.4m in total funding, intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded two years ago, SouSmile offers a transparent aligner and whitening gels via five retail stores in shopping malls across São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. To serve its clients, the company leverages a process which includes an evaluation by a dentist that includes a panoramic X-ray, 3D scan and a clinical exam. Following these steps, the company approves customers for treatment and deliver it.
SouSmile has a team of 100 people.
