Arioso Systems GmbH, a Dresden, Germany-based provider of micro-transducer technology, raised €2.6M in its first financing round.
The round was led by Brandenburg Kapital, a subsidiary of Brandenburger Förderbank ILB, with participation from High-Tech-Gründerfonds (HTGF), Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (Dresden) and business angels.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
A spin-off from Fraunhofer-IPMS in Dresden and led by Dr. Hermann Schenk and Dr. Jan Blochwitz-Nimoth, Arioso Systems is developing and marketing a novel kind of an all silicon mirco-speaker chip which is able to reproduce audio sound with highest fidelity. The chip is designed to replace common electrodynamic loudspeakers in wireless in-ear headsets.
The company’s targeted customer range embraces all audio and mobile phone brands.
