Codemotion, a Rome, Italy-based international community and platform dedicated to software developers, closed a €6M second funding round.
Backers included P101, Primomiglio and CDP Venture Capital SGR (fka Invitalia Ventures).
The company intends to use the funds to consolidate the growth of its platform globally.
Co-founded in 2013 by Chiara Russo and Mara Marzocchi, Codemotion provides a multichannel platform that connects IT professionals, developers and companies, enabling the community to share tech trends and best practices globally. It supports developers in their growth, providing them with learning content and the opportunity to participate in engaging activities (including in-depth tech articles, coding challenges, webinars, networking events, hackathons and meetups) and help companies identify resources for their open innovation and digital transformation projects related to Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Big Data, among others.
The platform currently features 500.000 developers, 200 tech communities and over 300 startups and established companies in Italy, Spain, Netheralnds and Germany.
The company currently has a team of over 50 people.
