Juganu, a Rosh Ha’Ayin, Israel-based provider of smart connectivity and lighting solutions for cities and retail facilities, raised $18m in funding.
The round was led by Comcast Ventures with participation from existing backers Viola Growth and Amdocs.
The company, which has raised $46m in total funding to date, intends to use the capital to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded in 2011 by Ben Shmuel and Alex Bilchansky, Juganu is providing a lighting and communications platform combining advanced lighting technology, sensitive and precise sensors, with AI based learning its environment. This combination provides computerized adaptive lighting, featuring a network of wireless communications thereby allowing the application to host the most innovative smart city technologies, including 5G and the operation of driverless cars. The company’s solutions have applications in smart and safe cities, commercial spaces and public institutions.
